Last Quarter Moon in Aquarius Guided Bath Ritual 5/12/2023
We made it out of eclipse season. FINALLY. Now we just have a few days left of Mercury Retrograde to go. This eclipse season + Mercury retrograde has been all about re-thinking, re-planning, and SO MUCH re-configuration in our lives. The surrender to the Divine was messy and uncomfortable and we’re still adapting and re-acclimating to our new route toward our Highest Good. So as we finish out the last days of this Mercury Retrograde and prepare for next week’s New Moon, we have the opportunity now to do one last re-construction; and it’s of the beliefs we hold toward ourselves. A personal revolution.
Our action for this ritual will include release. We are reframing the judgements we hold to ourSelves into words of EMPOWERMENT. Aquarius is an innovator, revolutionary. They are outside-of-the-box thinkers, and they are here to create change for the good of the collective. So this Last Quarter Moon ritual is a time when we will sit with our Shadows and see how we can reintegrate them into our lives to make a positive change for the whole of our outer world. A lot of times, the judgements we hold against ourSelves aren’t even ours. Most of the time, they were inherited from our lineage or society. So the Last Quarter is a time to sit with the parts of us that we hide to see if we can show them some compassion and reframe them as part of our unique power.
Shadow work is an opportunity to give attention to the parts of yourSelf that you deny or hide away from the world, society, others, and even yourSelf. They are the parts that, as children, we were told were bad, invalid, or shameful. Children don’t ever “grow out of” certain behaviors, they just learn that in order to be accepted and loved in this society, we need to deny or hide certain emotions or actions. But how do we know what our shadows are if we have lived our entire lives denying them from ourSelves? Usually the best way to gain insight into our biggest shadows is to notice what we tend to judge others the most for. Some common shadows might be anger, desperation, lust, indecency, victimhood, or jealousy, but shadows are different for everyone. This bath ritual is a time to meet with our Shadows and- not release the shadows themselves- but to give them the attention they desire. Sit with and honor them and see how we can incorporate them into our lives to make the revolutionary change that Aquarius longs for.
