The world needs more Libra energy right now. Libra is represented by the scales, and people like to associate Libra energy with that of balance. But I think this is a good time to remind everyone- there is no such thing as balance (Call back to the Libra Full Moon in April for more on this). And rather, Libra is more so about finding peace and harmony. The scales can also be representative of justice, and the underlying idea of justice is to restore peace, right? Libra is not about a harsh, unforgiving concept of “balance” at all. Libra is about harmony, peace, and flow. Libra knows that there is duality in everything. A yin and a yang. This is the truth of nature, and this is the knowledge we are harnessing during this lunation.
The First Quarter Moon is a time of action, but not of hysterical action. To carry our intentions from the New Moon Divine Feminine bath ritual from last week, remember that Divine Feminine energy is passionate and fierce, but it takes inspired action. Cancer season reminds us to find home within ourSelves. So the peace, the justice, the inspiration to fuel our actions this Libra First Quarter Moon needs to come from within ourSelves first. The First Quarter Moon is a time of conviction, creativity, and action. The intentions that we set during the New Moon the week before are building and we feel the energy behind manifesting them into our reality. The Universe may be presenting you with obstacles to face before accepting your dreams into reality- are you dedicated enough to these intentions to keep doing the work? Put away anything that will feel like a distraction. Maybe it’s your kids’ dirty laundry or the empty shampoo bottle that you keep telling yourself you can get the last drop out of. Whatever it is, it’s not the focus tonight. Put away for now and deal with it later.
